Goods produced in China are inferior to American made goods.

Most goods made in China have to be purchased 3 to 4 times to last as long as American goods. So, you think you are saving money by buying Chinese made goods, the answer is no.

As a consumer you should insist on products made in the USA, it is better quality, it retains and creates jobs in the U.S. while keeping the economy going and produces revenues for the government which enables them to provide services to its population.

Many foreigners make millions exporting products from China to the USA. An American businessman was trying to export products from the USA to China.
He found it impossible. And this is why our country the USA is failing. It is because we allow this unfairness. Many Americans are tired of paying for the infrastructure so the Chinese can sell their wares virtually tax free in the USA and Americans are paying for the roads and everything else to make that possible.

The Great Society is a place where every child can find knowledge to enrich his mind and to enlarge his talents. It is a place where the city of man serves not only the needs of the body and the demands of commerce but the desire for beauty and the hunger for community. It is a place where men are more concerned with the quality of their goals than the quantity of their goods.”

How to expedite America's economic recovery – YJ Draiman r1

The U.S. and the city of Los Angeles economy could expedite its economic revival by accelerating its hydrocarbon exploration and development. A national policy to enhance the development of hydrocarbon will turn the U.S. into a net exporter of hydrocarbon products. The U.S. must also build additional refining capacity at strategic locations in the U.S. to alleviate fuel shortages and increase its export of refined fuel and natural gas. Allocating a percentage of the revenues for the further development of renewable energy, energy efficiency and the development of water resources and efficiencies, including rainwater harvesting and grey water utilization etc. will further fuel Americas economic revival.

“Those who control the energy supply control whole continents”.

“Those who control the water sources control life”

Another avenue to boost the U.S. economy would be to initiate a program for Made in America products. This would require certain tax benefits to the manufacturer of products in America. Any unemployed American, who returns to the workforce, reduces the dependency for financial and social support by the government. Thus it turns the worker into a revenue generator for the government, while the employee’s earning are spent on goods and services which boosts the economy further.

The city of Los Angeles must make it easy for businesses to thrive. This will create employment and increase revenues to the government and it will create the multiplier effect.

Multiplier effect definition:
An effect in economics in which an increase in spending produces an increase in national income and consumption greater than the initial amount spent. For example, if a corporation builds a factory, it will employ construction workers and their suppliers as well as those who work in the factory. Indirectly, the new factory will stimulate employment in laundries, restaurants, and service industries and the housing industry which employs builders, plumbers, carpenters, electricians, etc.

Increasing bureaucracy, taxes and fees depresses the economy, reduces business development, which in turn reduces consumer spending and as a result reduces revenues to the government.

When the government spends trillions of dollars it is taking it out of the economy which diminishes economic growth

When the government spends trillions of dollars it is taking it out of the economy which diminishes economic growth

Why this crowding out of private spending? Government spending comes from three sources: debt, new money, or taxes. In other words, the government can’t inject money into the economy without first taking money out of the economy.

Take taxation: Taxes simply transfer resources from consumers to government, displacing private spending and investment. Families whose taxes have increased will have less money to spend on themselves. They are poorer and will consume less. They also save less money, which in turn reduces the resources available for lending.
In addition, higher taxation encourages people to change their behavior to avoid taxes. They might switch their efforts to non-taxed activities, such as household production, or to the untaxed underground economy. Economists call this a deadweight loss, because people give up the taxed activity or good they prefer.
There are high costs to the other options as well. If the government borrows money, that leaves less capital for the private sector to borrow for its own consumption. If the government prints new money, it will create inflation, which reduces the value of the money we own and decreases everyone’s purchasing power.
Overall, government spending doesn’t boost national income or standard of living. It merely redistributes it—minus the share it spends on the bureaucracy that collects and spends our tax dollars. The pie is sliced differently, but it’s not any bigger. In fact, it’s smaller.

"The national debt is certainly a ticking time bomb. There's no question that if we don't do something about it, it's going to go off," like most economists, thinks there comes a point when the debt becomes unsustainable -- when interest payments on the debt alone create an economic implosion.
"We're spending about $200 billion on interest now. That’s much more than we're spending on operations in Afghanistan, more than we're spending on Medicaid."
Compounding the problem are the baby boomers. The first of the tidal wave of Americans born in the post-World War II years are now retiring. Many of them have had their retirement savings diminished by the bursting of the housing bubble and the subsequent recession. More than ever, they're counting on government entitlements in their senior years.
"We're facing this avalanche of seniors moving into Medicare and Medicaid and Social Security. So federal expenditures driven by Medicare and Medicaid are going to go up faster than the economy can grow."

Do we need an ethical bailout to go along with the financial one?

Do we need an ethical bailout to go along with the financial one?
Let us discuss the need for honesty and integrity as the basic principle of leadership.
Define quality leadership as a process beyond technical competence.

Successful leaders continually demonstrate honesty and integrity as an essential element of their professional fabric; a lack of commitment to the principle renders all other skills meaningless.
Depict honesty and integrity as essential elements of human behavior that promote and support quality relationships.

Define honesty and integrity in the context of building trust and maintaining credibility. Provide a sound philosophy that increases the probability for long-term success and professional fulfillment. The matter raised "legitimate and genuine concerns", adding: "My concern ... is that without integrity and legitimacy and honesty, and then Government cannot function. This must now be settled, otherwise it saps at the very heart of what is the highest office – and the highest office-holder." Is honesty for suckers? — A worldwide recession sets in when it turns out that a vast subprime mortgage system was built on a foundation of fraud. — Government officials are convicted of fraud and misappropriation of funds and backdoor deals. — Cheating is rampant in high schools and colleges. — And in sports? It is the same deal. Doping scandals, cheating, chemical and otherwise, pervades football, baseball and other sports. — Wall Street is being manipulated by corporate America bilking investors out of billions of dollars. If so many people are cheating, how can honest people play by the rules and not be at a disadvantage — in school, at work, in sports, in business?
Do we need an ethical bailout to go along with the financial one?
Are you a chump if you play by the rules?

Honor, Honesty and Integrity these are not just words

Honor, Honesty and Integrity these are not just words

Honor, Honesty and Integrity these are not just words

At times we feel maybe justified in violating a part of our own integrity.
We don’t measure the effect that by doing so, the amount of damage that it does to others as well as to our own soul.
We speak of justice; we speak of honesty and doing the right things in life. We are sometimes confronted not so much by the violation of these principles but by the impact they have on our own spirit.
Feeling betrayed by those you trust, who have in some way acted in a manner that you may never understand, will have an impact on your life. This may only be for a moment or maybe a lifetime; each person has their own emotional point of tolerance to transgressions that may have been committed by even the most trusted among you.
These words are what make’s us civilized. They are the fundamentals of our own character. We can not be responsible for someone else’s behavior but we are in total control of our own. Our behavior in any setting should be guided by these words.
We can forgive others, but it is not easy for us to forgive ourselves when it is our actions that bring forth circumstances that no one wants. I have felt recently that betrayal, that dishonest act that just hurts and saddens the soul. Of course, that does not make that person bad or evil. It is an act that does not help for the survival of a group.
I believe in the biblical statement that vengeance is the Lord’s it is not mine to give. When dealing with anyone in any capacity honesty is the guide. Integrity is the path to take. Honor is yours to own. Weep as you may for an infraction of another upon you; forgive as that
transgression will also corrupt your soul to a deeper distrust of all.
For the transgressor it will be easy to do that which they may feel is right, though the action violates all honor or self respect which creates havoc and chaos on others. Maybe to be honest will allow one to sleep at night. My heart pains, for those who have chosen the path of least
resistance, which is the path to destruction.
Integrity doesn’t mean that you become some cold, stoic person, and vacant of all emotion. Integrity just means to flow with your honest feelings and actions ensuring that they are in alignment with propriety.
If you don’t like what you are doing then honor yourself by doing the best job anyway. You can always change careers

No Tolerance for Intolerance

No Tolerance for Intolerance

One of the essentials of a good community, that is, a community in which each of us can build flourishing lives for ourselves and those we care about, is tolerance. Tolerance matters for the obvious reason that the diversity of interests and desires people have is sometimes so great that we don't even understand why others should think and behave as they do; and yet we acknowledge their right to do so, because we cherish the same right for ourselves.
Thus, the very possibility of society turns on tolerance. Society involves people getting along peacefully all the time and co-operatively most of the time, and neither is possible unless people recognize the entitlement of others to their choices, and give them space accordingly.
But here, of course, is the familiar rub: the paradox of tolerance, which is that a tolerant society is at risk of tolerating those who are intolerant, and allowing movements to grow which foster intolerance. The profoundly dismaying spectacle of the contemporary Netherlands illustrates this point. What was one of the most inclusive and welcoming societies in Europe has been stabbed in the heart by people it sheltered and who have grown into intolerant activists wishing to impose conformity and censorship on others by violence. And alas, it has happened here [in Scotland], too.
The remedy for the paradox of tolerance is, of course, that tolerance can't tolerate intolerance. But this truism is often greeted with the response that if tolerance is intolerant of something, it is in breach of itself: it becomes self-defeating in another way. The answer is to insist that although it's natural to think that tolerance is a warm, woolly, feel-good attitude, in fact it is a principle: it's an ethical demand that everyone should respect everyone else's rights and liberties. And this does the trick all by itself. Tolerance is not a demand to license just anything whatever, least of all behavior that threatens the rights of others. Tolerance thus has its central place in the good society along with other principles that stop it from being a merely flabby acceptance that anything goes.
These are the principles of pluralism and individual liberty, which essentially require tolerance, but indicate its rational limit. Insisting on this vital point is what explains why tolerance not only cannot but must not tolerate intolerance.

IndividualityWe're happy with who we are. We honor those who work to secure freedom to express our individuality. We respect others by accepting their race, religion, culture, opinions, hobbies or other interests as valuable to them. As we develop and express our various talents we enrich each other's lives as well as our own. Wouldn't life be boring if we were all the same?
IntegrityIntegrity means being the same person inside and out, all the time. Whether in public or in private, we keep our commitments, accept responsibility for our own actions, and are honest and fair with everyone. And yes, it means always telling the truth and being good, just because it is the right thing to do. We know that personal integrity is required to earn another's trust, and is therefore the basis of all human relationships.
IndustryOnly through hard work and dedication can we realize our goals and dreams. We are diligent in our work, using all our talents and always doing our best, no matter what the task. We expect fair compensation for our labors but avoid excess. We strive to be self-sufficient, never expecting others to do for us what we can do for ourselves.
KnowledgeThe joy of learning can last a lifetime. Seeking knowledge begins with asking questions, then pursuing the answers with energy and creativity. We learn when we can accept the answers, even if they are not what we expect. The freedom and understanding gained by knowing the truth are our rewards for the pursuit of knowledge.
CompassionAll of us have needed help at some time in our lives. As well, our success always comes with the help of others. So we freely give our time, talents and resources to those who are in need without reservation or expectation. We patiently seek to understand the needs of others, and offer our assistance whenever we can without waiting for someone else to help.
FamilyWe all belong to a family. Our family bonds gives us identity; a way to recognize ourselves with a culture and heritage all our own. We support each other, depend on each other, respect each other and comfort each other. We are also members of larger families; our community, the human family, and the family of life on Earth. We accept the responsibilities of being a part of these families, only receiving what we need so that others may have their share, and helping to strengthen the family through our service.
OptimismLife is full of promise. We have goals that motivate us, and look to the future with a sense of purpose, knowing that we can make a difference. Though our individual influence may be small, it will spread from our family to others, and to future generations. Our purpose is to work together to bring about personal fulfillment in our lives and peace in the world.
Honesty
It means always telling the truth and being good, just because it is the right thing to do.

Respect
Respecting others, elders and people with opposing views and opinions.

When will "ENOUGH BE ENOUGH?" - Yehuda YJ Draiman

When will "ENOUGH BE ENOUGH?"

We keep electing our political leaders from the same parasitic pool of privileged families.
I challenge anyone to name the congressperson, or senator in Washington, or your state that was brought up in a middle income, middle class family, or had to work a real job to pay the bills. I'm not talking about attorneys, or corporate top level managers. These people are not what I consider workers! Show me the person in our government that has had to borrow money to send his kids to college, or take out an "inflated interest" loan to buy a house! Do any of them really care that we are mortgaging our children's future to China? How many of them have had to go to war, or serve in the military other than be an officer with the elitist mindset that permeates our armed forces?
We as voters are getting exactly what we have reaped because we fail to elect any leaders that actually know who we are, and what we think. Our salvation can only come from our votes, and we should vote the man, not the party! Vote for the person that has proven his way from a humble beginning, and succeeded...oh yeah!
That's right! You won't find any such person because unless they sell out to a special interest group with money, fat chance they will be able to afford to compete in the arena of the privileged elite! Money actually buys our leaders even before they are elected!
The current job down turn was badly handles from the beginning and the government’s response to the crisis has, in some instances, made matters worse.
The feds threw stimulus money at California which simultaneously cut its EDD staff precisely when the unemployed needed their help the most. Sacramento sent bailout money to local municipalities like Los Angeles, which used the money to save high paying government jobs only to subsequently eliminate those same jobs as part of the city’s cost saving measures.
The state and federal government layered on large amounts of unemployment benefits that made people out of work feel good but did nothing to help them get back to work. The benefits have now run out and the unemployment recipients have been thrust back into the ranks of job seekers with no new work skills and no new job prospects.
We have spent trillions of dollars and have nothing to show for it. What we need is a disaster plan and disaster response, which requires identifying those in need of critical attention from those who need minimal retooling of skills to reenter the job market. Is the consortium of people and foundations that we wrote about the answer to our critical need? Who knows but if they don’t address the critical steps needed to getting people back to work it will all be a waste of time.
Regardless of our own personal beliefs and values; we must join together and address this unemployment issue before our great nation is permanently damaged. This is perhaps due to the greed and pettiness of some of our leaders; but now is not the time to be pointing fingers.
We have a duty to help our fellow citizens. It is easy to point out what is wrong; harder to develop and implement solutions to problems and issues.
I agree that working together in a spirit of cooperation and collaboration; we can address and resolve any challenge.
I support and look forward to contributing and getting our country contributing solutions, ideas, approaches, and resources to our communities, our country and our world.

We must take responsibility for our actions if we are to succeed

We must take responsibility for our actions if we are to succeed

“To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life; we must first set our hearts right.” When you start realizing that you alone are responsible for your own life, then things start getting better. It might be scary at first, because now you do not have anyone else to blame. However, there is a level of freedom associated with taking responsibility for your life. “The price of greatness is responsibility.” There is some point in your life where you can no longer be persuaded by what the crowd is doing. You can no longer feel comfortable with the status quo. You have this feeling deep within you that there is more to life and that, “if it is to be, it is up to me.” That day is a very good day, because you have just learned a major secret to life. You are the creator of your own destiny and only you can make your dreams come true. “Accept responsibility for your life. Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one else.”
Family, Honesty and morality are the foundation of society.

Without consumers, there is no demand!

Without consumers, there is no demand!

Without demand, there are no jobs!

Without sales and jobs, there are no tax revenues!

Americans are a nation of great technology and knowhow. We must utilize that technology and our resources to find new means to regain our economic independence.

We must face and implement fiscal responsibility, both by the government and the population with its infrastructure of corporate America.

It is no longer an option, it is a must if we as a nation want to survive and retain our way of life and economic vitality.

Inflation, recession and financial crises are here. Let us take the bull by the horn, initiate immediate actions to minimize and hopefully reverse our economic crises.
"Now more than ever our country needs strong leadership from the states, that are making tough decisions to live within their means, keep taxes low and provide opportunities to job creators so their citizens can provide for their families and prosper."
The US economy has enormous momentum. Metaphorically speaking, if someone turned off the locomotive that drives the US economy, the economy would go on for miles before anyone would likely notice something was wrong. But something has been wrong for many years. Is there really hope for the future? Maybe! But the terrible truth is that no one really knows. But if there is hope, we're already on the wrong track. And that has to change.

LA’s 2013 City Hall Elections could bring new political reform

LA’s 2013 City Hall Elections could bring new political reform

Los Angeles faces an estimated $3 billion dollar plus deficit over the next five years, employee wages and benefits comprise the substantial share of the city budget. Estimated increased revenues only cover approximately a third of the increased costs.
The city must make it easy for businesses to thrive.
Take taxation: Taxes simply transfer resources from consumers to government displacing private spending and investment. Families whose taxes have increased will have less money to spend on themselves. They are poorer and will consume less. They also save less money, which in turn reduces the resources available for lending.
When a country and its society import more than they export for over a quarter of a century, it is bound to erode the economy to its primate state.
Many people and businesses are leaving the city. The people of LA have lost their trust in the government and the various special interests groups that are milking the city
Los Angeles needs a strong innovative leader who can unify the various factions in the city, and form a unified cohesive force to overcome the current crises and dissention. Every faction must be willing to compromise or we are doomed.
We must put all our differences aside and it is imperative that we all work together for the betterment of the city and its population. We have a saleable product; let us promote it, market it and sell it.
After all it is a government by the people for the people.
YJ Draiman

YJ Draiman stated “our deficit and lack of financial responsibility will be the end of our country”. We are doomed.
Joe murmured accusingly. “Are you not overstating you case –“
“Overstating my case,” Draiman interrupted acidly.

“The very words the cretin in Congress handed me when I began sounding the warning, when I pleaded for backing to isolate and address the problem. They are more concerned with maintaining their precious power base and promising the moon to get elected. I am sick to death of their endless stupid committee hearings. Sick to death of their lack of guts in standing for unpopular issues, and spending the nation into bankruptcy. The two-party system has become a stagnant swamp of fraud and criminal promises. As with communism, the great experiment in democracy is withering from corruption. Who cares a damn if the economy dies? Well, by God I do. And I am going to the wall to save them. Draiman’s eyes blazed in bitterness, his lips stretched tight by the vehemence. Jim was stunned by the depth of emotion. It was strangely out of character.

When the disintegration of moral codes and standards takes place. The people no longer function as normal humans.

World class renewable energy innovation enterprise zone revealed for Los Angeles – Proposed by YJ Draiman – rev.8

World class renewable energy innovation enterprise zone revealed for Los Angeles – Proposed by YJ Draiman – rev.8

YJ Draiman welcomes innovative renewable energy zone approach which will create 200,000 + new jobs over the next 5-10 years.

An ambitious project that will transform the way universities, business and industry collaborate, and establish Los Angeles as a world leader in the research, development and design of next generation renewable energy technology, was announced today, January 2, 2011. Spearheaded by YJ Draiman and the Economic development agency, Draiman Enterprise, and National Technology Renewable Energy Zone, will be established in the city of Los Angeles with the Universities of Southern California Technology Innovation Development at its heart.

A large parcel of land will be allocated to set up the renewable energy enterprise zone site, which will be within the boundaries of Los Angeles. There will be an academic center which will be transformed into a center of excellence for academic research, commercialization and industry collaboration.

The renewable energy zone initiative, which would span further than the confines of the City of Los Angeles and include Southern California, is expected to create 200,000 + new jobs over the next 5-10 years and give a boost to the Los Angeles economy through further industry academia collaboration and inward investment.

The developer said: “This new vision of the Renewable energy Technology Innovation Center will be the cornerstone of Los Angeles Technology and Renewable Energy Zone. The developer’s vision for The Renewable energy Zone is to provide a breeding ground for ambitious companies to harness cutting-edge research, access the best people and develop the products which will shape the renewable energy industry of tomorrow.

“Southern California has already claimed a place on the renewables map attracting energy heavyweights and pioneers in the solar and wind sector and we believe that by establishing this zone we will help reinforce Los Angeles position as a location of choice for the rapidly expanding renewables industry.”
Developer said: “The Universities in the Los Angeles area’s Technology and Innovation Center is a transformational project for Los Angeles, building on California’s great tradition of innovating new technologies and developments in fields; including energy and engineering while creating and supporting hundreds of jobs. Through this collaboration, the aim is to quadruple the scale of research program investment in Los Angeles in areas key to economic growth by up to $10 billion + in five to ten years. “And now, as an integral part of Los Angeles Enterprise’s new Technology and Renewable Energy Zone, which aims to establish Los Angeles as a premier location for inward investment into world-leading technology and renewables research and development, we have the potential to deliver huge economic and social benefits, not only in Los Angeles but nationally and beyond.”
YJ Draiman’s vision for Los Angeles is to make LA the World Capital of Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency & Water Conservation.

The developer said: “The Technology and Innovation for renewable energy zone will help transform Los Angeles and Southern California. By capitalizing on our leading, industry-relevant research, the renewable energy zone will attract billions of dollars of inward investment to the city of Los Angeles, drive global businesses, create jobs, and support the development of our highly-qualified graduates and postgraduates. “As a leading technological hub of Universities, they are committed to sharing knowledge to address challenges that affect every area of society, including energy, health, manufacturing and economics. The renewable energy zone will forge new levels of collaboration between researchers, the public and private sectors to accelerate the pace of research and development and deliver benefit to companies, the economy and Southern California.” The collaborative approach with the Universities, Los Angeles Enterprise and existing pioneering renewable energy leaders means that companies locating in the zone will have access to government support and some of the world’s best industry and academia in the fields of technology, engineering and energy. The project represents a supportive government and business environment where companies locating in and around the zone may be eligible for additional support for job creation, innovation and staff development, delivered through various California Enterprise schemes.

When the need arises we will establish facilities within the existing Zone that offer temporary accommodation for prospective tenants until construction of the research center is complete or, if required, a purpose-built industry engagement building is created within the Zone.
Renewable energy Zone is designed to draw on Southern California’s existing competitive advantage by providing the right business environment for the renewables industry to continue to grow and further develop. Recent announcements from industry leaders have reinforced Southern California’s position as a world leading city in solar, wind research and development. A leader in energy innovation with unrivalled human and natural resources in renewable energy, Southern California is building on its rich history of oil and gas exploration and developing an infrastructure to cement its position as a world class location for international companies looking to invest in renewable energy and Energy efficiency.

We must develop our hydrocarbon resources and allocate a 20 percent of the revenue for renewable energy and energy efficiency. This will turn the economy and provide thousands of jobs for the long term. Our economic prosperity depends on it. These jobs can not be performed overseas. It will also increase our energy independence and make the U.S. less reliant on foreign sources of energy.

In addition to this theme, I would also set up a department to handle water conservation, rainwater harvesting and greywater.
Implement an infrastructure collection of runoff water and filtering it for useable purposes.

Modify building codes to implement better insulation and efficiency, better energy efficient windows, renewable energy system (photovoltaic and wind combo systems), high efficiency rating HVAC systems, Geothermal systems, envelope exterior that is insulated from the sun’s heat, landscape design for proper shading and drought resistant, rainwater harvesting, greywater systems.
“Good leaders create a vision, articulate the vision, passionately own the vision, and relentlessly drive it to completion” -
Paid for by Draiman for Los Angeles

“It is Cheaper to Save Energy than Make Energy”

“Water is the source of life - treasure it!”

“Water is the source of all life on earth. It touches every area of our lives. Without it, we could not thrive — we could not even survive.”

We live in a Democratic country as such it is up to the people to improve their lives and the lives of their children.

If we do nothing, we, our children and grandchildren will bear the consequences of the government’s decisions today for generations to come.

Therefore, someone must try and change the destructive direction that our country is heading into.

How to expedite America's economic recovery – YJ Draiman r2
The U.S. and the city of Los Angeles economy could expedite its economic revival by accelerating its hydrocarbon exploration and development.

Increasing bureaucracy, taxes and fees depresses the economy, reduces business development, which in turn reduces consumer spending and as a result reduces revenues to the government.
